When to book?
Maternity sessions are best booked between 32 and 36 weeks. You want to show off that beautiful belly but don't want to wait until the very end of your pregnancy because babies can always come early if they choose to!
What to wear?
I always recommend wearing what you are comfortable in, to show your true style. Minimal makeup and styling are preferred to create timeless photos and relaxed experience. Partners and older children should also be dressed comfortably for the location of the shoot, having fun is very important for great photos!
What time of day?
Sunrise is the best time for outdoor and beach sessions because it provides beautiful soft, golden light that makes everyone look their best. Sunrise is also cooler than sunset, which is very important for expecting mamas! Getting up early for a sunrise shoot will be worth it and you will probably have the beach all to yourself. Sunset will also work well but please plan for lots of extra travel time because island traffic peaks in the evenings, even on weekends!
If you prefer a maternity shoot in your home, any time of day will work.
